Massimo & Lella Vignelli

Italian design couple. Both studied architecture in Milan. In 1960 they established the Vignelli Office of Design and Architecture in Milan. They started Vignelli Associates in 1971, a multidisciplinary design firm in New York. Their work includes corporate identity programs, publications, exhibitions and interiors, furniture and consumer goods. In the Netherlands they designed f.i. the WTC Amsterdam Schiphol. Their work has been part of permanent collections of several museums worldwide. During their career they won both many Art, Design and Architecture awards.
